Burial and Cremation
We can assist you to discern between the options of cremation or burial in a cemetery, natural burial ground or your own land.
Within each option there are possibilities for combining with a ceremony or service, having that at a different time and place or not at all.
If your priority is to keep someone close at home then you need to take account of this in your arrangements. In this case it is likely that you will want to arrange the burial or cremation within a week. If you want a funeral which cannot be arranged in this timescale then you may have a later ceremony for example with the ashes or as a memorial service.
'Direct' or 'unattended' cremation or burial is a cheaper, and sometimes more convenient, option without a ceremony at the crematorium or burial ground. There is often the option for a small number of close family or friends to attend as witnesses.
